Jen Stark Drip Drawings
7th and 8th Grade Art
Students created drip drawings using marker, pencil, and paper inspired by the artist Jen Stark. Students will learn about line, color theory, how to use markers, and the contemporary artist Jen Stark. Students will identify primary, secondary, complementary, and analogous colors. Students will also learn about how to care for art materials and clean up. There is a connection to E.L.A.

Neurographic Art
8th Grade Art
Students grade 8 created neurographic watercolor paintings using marker, watercolor, pencil, and paper. Practice relaxation through art and experience a creative process that focuses upon the artist’s use of intuitive response to develop the imagery. Students discussed line, color, color theory, watercolor paint, neurographic art. Students identified primary, secondary, complementary, and analogous colors. Students will also learn about how to care for art materials and clean up. There is a connection to E.L.A.

Pop Art Shoe Collage
7th Grade Art
Students will create shoe collages using colored pencil, marker, paper, and glue. Students will learn about the Pop Art Movement and artists including Wayne Thiebaud, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Alex Katz, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Jim Dine, Yoshitomo Nara, and Romero Britto. Students will learn about line, contrast, emphasis, and color theory. Students will also learn about how to care for art materials and clean up. There is a connection to E.L.A.
